Let it Go

Shine like the star,

For the world is full of dark.

Darkness of mind, Darkness of souls

Amidst the darkness of lies, your strength this world will behold.

Falling in love was like a magical fairy tale,

But why wasn't I warned that it will get me into the darkest vale.

It's the vale of tears,

The vale of hopelessness

The vale of shattered trust,

And the vale of loneliness.

Answer me Oh Lord, 

What wrong did I ever do?

For all the unadulterated love that I poured out,

Why do I feel like the most broken soul in the crowd!!

He answers with a sigh,

Oh my sweet child,

Only where there is life comes death,

And that "life will be easy", who ever promised you that?

Sure his abrupt exit and those unexplained lies hurt,

But his purpose in your life has been completely served.

This pain of rejection brings with it that wisdom,

That will work to mould you into a pragmatic and stronger person.

There are still lessons left to learn,

Life shall continue finding its ways to teach them.

This role of victim,

Is certainly not for you girl.

With a new zeal start re-painting your life,

Without having to settle for anything less, 

choose only the most exuberant hues.
