OVERDONE I's
Didn’t I warn you before hand?
I had the premonition
I knew it is nearing its demolition
Ultimately I had to resolve the situation
Oh! I already knew his reaction,
I knew he would win”;
So many I’s said in just a blink!!
A common man when asked for his bias,
It would be nothing but overlap of I’s.
But why is there a smile on my lips
While penning down this!!
Hey even Im a common man,
Of course million I’s lie even in my pan.
C’mon lets accept the reality,
We just want our superiority.
We just advertise our dreams and thoughts
And expect our words to be applauded till the last dot.
Our dreams and success whether big or small,
When expressed in long and boastful talk,
At the end all you can realize,
It was nothing but overlap of I’s.
Lets now meet one careful listener,
Who is supposingly interviewing some youngster.
Who just overused I’s to convince the listener of his one-man team
While the listener watched him with forceful glee.
To listener the echo of hollow ‘I’ was very clear.
Overused I’s proved that he as a team leader was very poor
Being self promoting, naricisistic, over confident and attention seeking
Is all what we think is the key in this competitive world for succeeding.
Celebs or pseudo celebs use each available opportunity,
Just to promote themselves and their seniority.
Then why should an ordinary mortal be left behind!!!!
After all the rigorous use of I’s is his tool to shine.
Why don’t we just take a back seat and realx!
And stop bloating and putting more and more ‘I’ in our sac
Why can’t we reconcile and stop excelling in just anything!!
Why are we racing to the extent of overshadowing our own kith and kin.
Lets “eye” our inner self, shine from within, leave the rest
And be happy as good human being without having to compete with the best.
